Heat Rash or Prickly Heat
Cause : Cause of heat rash or prickly heat
The main cause is skin pores being obstructed so it cannot sweat. Infant’s skin cannot breath very well so there is the obstruction of skin pores in the middle of the epidermis layer. Heat rash always occurs where there are more sweat glands, such as the head, chest, foldable joint area, and neck area.
Treatment :
Use a damp cloth to clean all sweat from the skin. In severe cases, mild lotion or cream may mitigate the rash.
Avoid staying in a high temperature area.
